Vitol Foundation Partnership

To renew Vitol’s commitment to support development work in Nigeria, Vitol Foundation is partnering with TCF to rehabilitate 50 non functional hand pumps in Niger State. The rehabilitation will benefit a community of 25,000 remote people in Niger State in the first year. To ensure sustainability of the project TCF will undertake sensitization and capacity building of community members to take care of hand pumps by establishing Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Committees, train private local area mechanics, and establish spare parts supply chain.

The Vitol Foundation was established by the Vitol Group in 2006 to support projects that promote better living conditions for children living in deprivation. To achieve this, the Foundation actively researches and supports charity partners that work in four key areas of a child’s development: Health, Water and Sanitation (‘WASH’), Education and Livelihoods.
